Fitting a through hull transducer
Please have a look at the pictures showing how I recently fitted a through hull transducer near to perfectly lateral

- This is how the thickness was measured. I measured after sanding the inside down. Result 20mm.

- Here it should be clearly visible, that the base of the transducer is partly under hull surface and party above. Since the same is true on the innerside, I expect this to cause no problems. Noe of the lower surfaces protrude the hull.

- The mold parts after use. The pipe was cut and taped to have the rigth size, and therefor it was easy to remove.

- I was thinking a near to perfect lateral installation would be safer, in a heavy weather situation wit a lot of heeling.
